From the Premier League to the Saudi Pro League –

It’s official, Gabonese international midfielder Mario Lémina, 31, is leaving Wolverhampton (English Premier League) to join the Saudi Pro League and the Saudi Club Al Shabab, for a period of three years.

For a contract valued at four (4) million euros, the Gabonese will ultimately receive 2.34 million euros, while he earned 1.46 million euros at Wolverhampton.

Mario Lémina will reunite at Al Shabab with his former coach from Galatasaray, Fatih Terim and will play alongside former Monegasque Yannick Ferreira Carrasco.

It’s a new experience that begins for the Gabonese international, former player of and Juventus Turin. He has been in and out of England since 2017, with two stints also on the Turkish side (2019-2020) at Galatasaray. Mario Lémina was also a member of between 2021 and 2023.

This season, Mario Lémina was an indisputable starter for Wolves, often donning the captain’s armband, before falling out with Wolverhampton coach Vitor Pereira. He was before leaving Wolves and the Premier League, in 16 matches, 1 goal and 3 assists
