Prison guard who admitted to having sex with inmate during recorded cell fling learns her fate

The married British prison guard who was filmed having sex with an inmate in his cell was sentenced to 15 months in prison on Monday.

Linda De Sousa Abreu, a 30-year-old mother, pleaded guilty to having sex with criminal Linton Weirich on multiple occasions at London’s Wandsworth prison, with one of the acts caught in a raunchy video that went viral in June.

Andrew Davy, the governor of Wandsworth, criticized Abreu during his sentencing for downgrading his position in “less than a day” and causing other female prison guards to be increasingly “harassed” by female inmates who think they are “fair”. ”, reported the BBC.

Abreu, dressed in a gray suit and white shirt, remained silent during the sentencing hearing.

Prosecutors said Abreu, a mother of one, violated her position at the prison by having sex with Weirich – a felon convicted of stealing $82,000 worth of luxury items from Kensington – between June 26 and 28.

The actions were recorded on Abreu’s body-worn camera, as well as by an inmate who uploaded the video to social media boasting: “This is how we live in Wandsworth, bruv.”

Abreu also admitted to having “oral sex” with another inmate on the same day she was recorded having sex with Weirich, The Guardian reports.

“You participated with obvious enthusiasm,” the judge noted.

A prison service official said Abreu’s arrest and conviction serves as a warning to any other prison staff who may be breaking the law.

“While the overwhelming majority of Prison Service staff are hardworking and honest, we are catching more of the small minority who break the rules by strengthening our anti-corruption unit and strengthening our monitoring processes,” the office said in a press release.

“As today’s sentencing demonstrates, when officers fail to meet our high standards, we will not hesitate to take strong action.”

Abreu, who holds a Portuguese passport, was arrested at Heathrow Airport when she tried to board a flight to Madrid after her illicit acts and called her employers to tell them she was not returning to work.

Abreu has remained relatively silent throughout the case, but she spoke out over the summer to condemn porn stars who were impersonating her on OnlyFans and filming parodies of her video.
