A digital platform to help families living far from London in particular

Small change since 2024, only those who make a first request must make an appointment with the social affairs service to submit the file. Families already in receipt of a school scholarship for the year 2024-2025 have three options: submit their complete application at the reception of the Consulate General of in London during our opening hours to the public, send it to the consulate by postal or, new, submit their file online on the new dedicated Scolaide platform, access to which will be available from mid-January 2025. Good news for families living far from the London consulate.

Scholarship candidates must be of French nationality, registered in the register of French people living abroad and educated in an establishment approved by the French Ministry of National Education. They must also reside with their family (father and/or mother) in the country where the school is located. For children entering nursery school, they will need to have reached the age of 3 by December 31, 2025. School scholarships are granted subject to means conditions and depending on the applicant’s financial situation.

Deadline for submitting applications

Simply download, complete and sign the school scholarship application form for the year 2025-2026, then attach supporting documents depending on whether you are an employee, whether you exercise a liberal profession or are self-employed, whether you are retirement, or if you are a student parent.

To submit your application in person, you will need to bring original documents and copies. To send by mail or drop off at the consulate reception, you will only need photocopies of the requested supporting documents. The consulate specifies that in the event of doubt about the declared situation, a social investigation may be carried out or additional supporting documents requested.

Families must also take postal delays into account and ensure that the complete file reaches the consulate no later than February 21, the closing date for file submissions, otherwise it will not be processed.
