On January 1, two passionate women died on Cagire, in the Pyrenees. The funeral of Juliana, 33, who lived in Aussonne is planned for Tuesday in the Loire.
A bubbly young mother, passionate about sport. After football, she practiced running diligently, participating in numerous races around Aussonne, the town where she lived. “A bubbly young woman,” says one of her acquaintances. Juliana Wisniewski, 33, mother of a little girl, lost her life during a walk on a snowy peak in the Pyrenees on January 1st.

That day, this mountain enthusiast accompanied by two of her friends set out early in the morning from the Col de Menté to climb to the summit of the Cagire peak which culminates at 1912 meters in the Pyrenees, above Bagnères -de-Luchon. Trained, equipped, this “prepared, expected” hike was to be a celebration. It turned into a tragedy.
Funeral this Tuesday
On a ridge between Le Cagire and l’Escalette, Juliana was surprised by the very icy snow. And despite the crampons she was wearing, she slipped. Her two friends were unable to stop her fall. Alerted, the Lannemezan mountain police could only note the death of the young woman. Like later, the same day, the death of Florence Thibault, 46 years old, another mountain enthusiast trapped by the ice. This mother of two children lived in Saïx, in the south of Tarn, near Castres.

The funeral of Florence Thibaut will be celebrated this Tuesday morning in Réalmont, in Tarn. Those of Juliana Wisniewski are also scheduled for this Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in Saint-Joseph, in the Loire where her family is from.
