The Brutalist was a big hit at the Golden Globe Awards, which recognized the best in television and film from the past year. The ceremony took place on the night of Sunday January 5 in Los Angeles.
The film “The Brutalist,” which had seven nominations, received numerous awards, with Adrien Brody winning his first Golden Globe for his leading role, Brady Corbet, who also co-wrote the film, winning best director and the film ultimately won the title of best drama film.
Still on the film side, Jacques Audiard’s “Emilia Pérez” received 10 nominations, the most of any film, in categories ranging from acting to directing, writing and music. Its stars, Selena Gomez and Zoe Saldaña, were recognized for their performances, while Audiard was recognized for his direction, writing and screenplay. The film won awards for Best Comedy or Musical and Best Original Song. Zoe Saldaña also won the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy.
