The 82nd Golden Globes awarded numerous awards and several films and series performed well: Emilia Perezby Jacques Audiard, left with four statuettes, The Brutalistby Brady Corbet, won three trophies. On the series side, these are Shogun, My Little Reindeer et Hacks who won the most prizes. Film side
Emilia Perezwhich won the Golden Globe for Best Comedy or Musical, Best Supporting Actress, Best Non-English Language Film and Best Original Song, is still in theaters and available to rent or purchase on VOD. The Brutalistbest dramatic film, best direction and best actor for Adrien Brody, arrives in cinemas on February 12. Left with a statuette in the Best Actress in a Drama Film category, for Fernanda Torres,I’m still hereis released in cinemas in France on January 15. Demi Moore made her mark this year with The Substance and won the award for best actress in a comedy or musical film… Where to see the film directed by Coralie Fargeat? It is still shown in many cinemas, but is not yet available on VOD.
A Real Pain left with an award, that of best supporting actor for Kieran Culkin, and the film directed by Jesse Eisenberg arrives in cinemas on February 26. The Golden Globe for best animated film went to Flow, the cat who was no longer afraid of waterwhich touched the hearts of audiences this year, and it is still in theaters. This is also the case of Wicked (box office price) and Conclave (best scenario). Finally, with A Different ManSebastian Stan, won the trophy for best actor in a comedy or musical film. For the moment, the film does not have a release date in France.
Series side
Shogunwas the big winner of the evening, with no less than four awards: best drama series, best actress for Anna Sawai, best actor for Hiroyuki Sanada and best supporting role for Tadanobu Asano. While a season 2 is expected, the first season is available on Disney+. On the comedy side, it’s Hacks which did well, with two trophies: best comedy and best actress in a comedy series for Jean Smart, it is available on M6+. Jeremy Allen White won the award for best actor in a comedy series for The Bearall three seasons of which are available on Disney+.
On the miniseries side, it’s My Little Reindeer who made an impression last night with the Golden Globe for best mini-series and supporting actress in a miniseries for Jessica Gunning. It’s available on Netflix. Jodie Foster walked away with the award for best actress in a miniseries for True Detective : Night Countryavailable on Max, and Colin Farrell for best actor for The Penguinalso visible on Max.
