Real Madrid predicted the line-up against. Deportiva Minera: Copa del Rey

Real Madrid launches its 2024-25 Copa del Rey campaign against Deportiva Minera.

Of all the trophies in this sport, the Copa del Rey continues to represent a great challenge for Real Madrid. Over the past decade, Los Blancos have only won the Copa del Rey twice. Since 2014, the Spanish giants have won the Champions League three times more often than they have won Spain’s oldest football competition.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men, however, are eager to make their mark on the competition this season, especially if they are to win the club’s first ever continental treble. As one of four teams participating in the Spanish Super Cup, Real Madrid earned a bye to the knockout stages of the Copa del Rey, where they will play their first match against fourth division side Deportiva Minera .

Thibaut Courtois and Antonio Rüdiger are the only two first-team players not to make the trip, but Ancelotti will still count on his bench players to take Real Madrid to the round of 16.

This is what Real Madrid’s eleven could look like against Deportiva Minera on January 6.
