Justin Larose arrives with the Voltigeurs (update)

HOCKEY. After Nathan Baril, Justin Larose is added to the Voltigeurs’ offensive arsenal, according to information obtained by L’Express.

As the QMJHL trade deadline approached on Monday, the Drummondville team got their hands on the 19-year-old forward in a trade with the Victoriaville Tigres. In return for Justin Larose and a fifth-round pick in 2025, general manager Yanick Lemay gave up 18-year-old forward Maxime Lambert as well as a first-round pick in 2027, two second-round picks (2025 and 2026) and three third-round picks (2025, 2026 and 2027).

Justin is an offensive player who has an excellent shot, but also has excellent passing skills. He is very dynamic with and without the puck, he who has excellent skating. Second round pick of the Tigres in 2021, Justin Larose is playing a fourth season in the QMJHL. After reaching the 80-point plateau (38-42) last campaign, the 5-foot, 9-inch, 175-pound winger established himself as his team’s top scorer this season with 37 points. (16-21) in 37 games. He had the title of assistant to the captain.

Last spring, Justin Larose helped the Félins reach the semi-final of the playoffs, where they lost to the Voltigeurs.

Originally from Saint-Lazare, Justin Larose is a product of Bourget College, in the school hockey network. Last September, he participated in the Montreal Canadiens rookie camp as a guest player.

Among the Voltigeurs, Justin Larose joins defender Samuel Kingsley, who was recently acquired in an exchange with the Tigres.

Ninth round pick of the Voltigeurs in 2022, Maxime Lambert has three goals and two assists in 28 games this season. A native of Thetford Mines, the 5-foot, 10-inch, 165-pound center is a product of the Lévis Knights.
