the price of the Crit’Air sticker is increasing!

The price of the famous Crit’Air vignette has increased. The latter being essential to travel in an ZFE.

Since January 1, 2025, many motorists have been impacted by l’introduction of an EPZ. In some cities like Paris and Lyon, the authorities have toughened the rules with the banning of Crit’Air 3 cars. However, at the same time, the famous sticker saw its price increase.

The Crit’Air sticker, an essential element

Regulations around ZFEs took a turning point on January 1, 2025. From now on, agglomerations of more than 150 000 habitants have the obligation to establish these zones. Fortunately, depending on the air quality of the area in question, the restrictions are more or less severe.
Currently, the minimum obligation is to ban cars being NCfor unclassified. This concerns petrol or diesel cars with registration avant 1997.
But in some cities like Paris or Lyon, it is the cars with a Crit’Air 3 sticker which can no longer circulate. This therefore takes into account diesel models registered before 2011 and gasoline models. avant 2006.
In fact, this therefore concerns 21 % of the French automobile fleet, i.e. approximately 8.84 million motorists. All of these regulations are therefore based around one object, namely the Crit’Air sticker. But in 2025, the prices to get one, have increased.

An increase of a few cents

The Crit’Air sticker has therefore become an accessory indispensable to move freely or not in an urban area. The latter is important since it will classify your car according to its age.
Plus the number on the cartoon is higher, the older your car is and therefore has an engine that is not suitable for a traffic in an EPZ.
Except that for get this vignette, we will have to move on to the cash register. In 2024, buying your Crit’Air sticker would cost 3,77 euros in mainland and 4,76 euros internationally.
Bad news for 2025: prices have increased.
We reassure you right away, the rise is however quite light. From now on, to acquire a Crit’Air sticker, you have to pay 3,81 euros in France and 4.91 euros internationally.
In any case, nothing prevents the authorities from continue to increase year after year. As a reminder, if you want to buy one, you can go through the official government platform.

In the event of an inspection, if you do not have vignette or you drive in an area with an unauthorized vehicle, you risk a fine of 68 euros.
