Very rainy Monday, yellow “snow-ice” warning from this morning, then “storms” in the evening… Update on today’s weather in the Alpes-Maritimes

It’s a complicated Monday which is announced in the Alpes-Maritimes, on January 6, 2025, in terms of weather.

While 21 French departments have been placed on orange vigilance by Météo the 06 will remain in yellow. However, it is affected by several alerts at the same time.

On the one hand, and even if this does not justify particular vigilance, there is the rain, omnipresent throughout the territory throughout the day. The temperatures will go from 4°C to 13°C in the morning, then from 5°C to 14°C in the afternoon.

Ensuite, the risk of avalanches in the mountains remains the same than the previous days. You absolutely must be careful on the slopes of ski resorts… and outside.

“Snow-ice” in the morning, “thunderstorms” in the evening

From 9 a.m. this Monday, yellow “snow-ice” vigilance has been added to the list with us. Here too, it mainly concerns the mountainous regions in the hinterland.

On the other hand, from 7 p.m. this evening, the entire department of Alpes-Maritimes will be affected by a yellow alert for “thunderstorms”.

These should hit mainly the Mediterranean rim, with more intense activity in the southwest of 06 (notably around Théoule-sur-Mer).

However, the land should not be spared, since the meteorological service announces storms as far as , Saint-Martin-du-, or even Touët-de-l’Escarène.

You will therefore have to remain cautious until at least midnight.

Ephemeris of the day

Today, we celebrate the Mélaines, as well as the Guérins and Tiphaines.

In Nice, the sun will rise at 8:04 a.m. and set at 5:10 p.m.
