War in Ukraine: he had negotiated with the Wagner group and Yevgeny Prigojine… Vladimir Putin sends the star of the Russian army to counter the Ukrainians in Kursk

Il s’appelle Yunus-Bek Yevkurov.

War in Ukrainejour 1048.

All eyes are on Kourskwhere Ukraine launched a surprise counter-offensive this Sunday, January 5.

So little information filters out about what is really happening in the Russian oblast, the Russia seems particularly heated by this new attempt to break through into its territory. And for good reason: Kursk is a highly symbolic place since it is already located in Russia. Also because it is there that the Russians won the largest tank battle in history against the Germans in 1943. And finally because it is a strategic place, since the Ukrainians count, with this offensive, score points with a view to possible negotiations.

In 2023, for example, he was at the heart of the negotiations which led to the abandonment of the mutiny of Wagner group. A planned mutiny which resulted in the dissolution of the paramilitary group and the death of its emblematic leader.

It remains to be seen what role has been entrusted to the military leader.
