They rehearse tirelessly, refine their stage performances, perfect their tirades, give the final brushstrokes to the sets. The Fanfarons of Mont Saint-Vincent are working on the final touches of their new comedy, Cracked before entering by François Scharre.
During rehearsal this Wednesday, they are studious but don’t forget to laugh and help each other when needed. This is what makes up the troop’s DNA.
“For the moment, I don’t have stage fright”
“It’s a nice group, we can count on each other,” says Anne-Thérèse, who joined the Fanfarons this year. “I came to see their last two shows and it made me want to laugh with them. » She therefore plays the role of Mathilde, the sister of the main character named Hervé. “It’s a challenge: you have to speak loudly enough, make an effort to remember, develop some of your qualities. But most are experienced, we can rely on their ease, take example. Doing a group activity is very pleasant. »
Claudette, who plays the role of judge Camille, is also new among the actors: “Last year, I was a prompter. I thought, why not try getting on stage? For the moment, I don’t have stage fright, we’ll see! Between actors, we receive a lot of good advice. And then the piece is funny! » A comedy which tells how Hervé moves in with roommates who have OCD. He therefore invents OCD and triggers a chain of lies and misunderstandings. “This piece changes from what we are used to playing, it’s a different style of writing,” says the president of the Fanfarons, Monique Chevrot, alias Sonia, one of the “crazy” roommates.
