From the French capital, PSG are considering the FC Barcelona left defender as a replacement for Nuno Mendes, whose contract at the Parc des Princes ends on June 30.
The winter transfer market has already started, and with the new year, players with contracts expiring on June 30 can now negotiate with any club of their choice. In this regard, Paris Saint-Germain suspects Nuno Mendes of being able to leave the Parc des Princes as a free agent and is therefore turning to the Catalan capital to find a replacement for the Portuguese.
According to ‘Relevo’, PSG are considering Alejandro Balde to strengthen their left-back position for next season. Nuno Mendes, a starting player for the French club in this position, sees his contract expire on June 30, 2025, but has not yet renewed, putting him in a situation where he could leave for free.
The report adds that negotiations for a contract extension for the Portuguese defender with PSG have stalled, and Manchester United are circling, very interested in signing him this summer without a transfer fee.

-Although Nuno Mendes is a very offensive player with significant potential, turning 23 in June, PSG are considering a similar profile to the Portuguese as a potential replacement, and Alejandro Balde fits that equation. ‘Relevo’ points out that there are currently no negotiations or contacts, and for now this remains a hypothetical idea for June.
The La Masia product is a year younger than Nuno Mendes, but his contract with FC Barcelona does not end until June 30, 2028. It is clear that Barcelona are not inclined to part with any of their key players, but to put the numbers into perspective, according to ‘Transfermarkt’, the Catalan player’s market value is estimated at 50 million euros.
