Hamza Igamane’s resounding hat-trick

It’s the hit of the moment among Moroccan expatriates. In thunderous form, Hamza Igamane achieved a new feat this Sunday with Glasgow Rangers.

During the trip to Hibernian as part of the 22nd day of the Scottish championship, the 22-year-old striker struck again by scoring his first hat-trick under his new colors, which he joined last summer.

The ex-AS FAR Rabat talent scored with the left (4th), header (19th) and right (73rd), to allow his team to lead twice. But Hibernian equalized each time, leaving Rangers 2nd in the table, 9 points behind Celtic.

However, nothing to spoil the performance of the native of Temara, who remains on an impressive series of 9 goals scored in his last 11 matches in all competitions. This form made him an indisputable starter in Philippe Clement’s starting lineup after a timid start.

A new message addressed to Walid Regragui

Compared to legend Didier Drogba by his teammate Leon Balogun, Igamane is already melting the Premier League (Everton, Fulham, Newcastle, West Ham, Bournemouth and Brentford) and Atalanta Bergamo, and Bayer Leverkusen, all announced in the ranks.

However, there is little chance that Rangers will agree to sell their new jewel in the winter transfer window, under contract until June 2029 and valued at 2.5 million euros by the specialist site Transfermarkt. On the other hand, with this new performance, the chances of seeing the U23 international called up for the first time with the Lions of the Atlas next March increase. Recently, the coach Walid Regragui’s staff traveled to supervise it in Scotland.
