Cross-country skiing – Tour de Ski. Hugo Lapalus 3rd in the general classification and 4th at Alpe Cermis, Cluse best climber

Hugo Lapalus once again finished on the podium of the Tour du Ski following his 4th place at the top of Alpe Cermis. Cluse also brings back the purple jersey for best climber in Haute-Savoie. Simen Krueger wins the last race.

Even at Alpe Cermis, a Norwegian is untouchable. Simen Krueger wins at the top of the alpine ski slope and wins the last race of the Tour de Ski 2025. Mika Vermeulen takes 2nd place of the day and in the general classification.

Hugo Lapalus will not get on the podium at Alpe Cermis like last year since he finished 4th behind Friedrich Moch. This performance is enough for Cluse who brings 3rd place in the general classification and the best climber bib to the Aravis. Mathis Desloges finished 13th and entered the top 10 at the end of the Tour de Ski.

Krueger wear

After two quick loops in the stadium, the cross-country skiers slip into the forest, along the river. In focus, the foot of Alpe Cermis, this alpine ski slope that they will all have to climb. All the favorites are in front at the foot of the slope, the battle begins from the first percentages.

Johannes Klaebo keeps the lead for the first hectometers. He is followed by all his pursuers in the general with Vermeulen, Lapalus, Moseby… At the entrance to the 2nd wall, a trio stands out with Simen Krueger, Mika Vermeulen and Hugo Lapalus. The purple bib was finally detached 900 meters from the line, leaving the other two men to compete for victory.

Simen Krueger ended up letting go of the Austrian in the last meters. Friedrich Moch finished slightly better than Lapalus and finished 2 seconds ahead of him. Not enough to change anything overall. Like a year ago, the 26-year-old French cross-country skier is 3rd in the Tour du Ski.
