‘Fiorentina’ vs ‘Napoli’: Betting Odds
“Fiorentina”
Having suffered defeats in 12 of their last 13 away matches against Juventus in Serie A, last week’s 2-2 draw in Turin was something of an achievement for ‘Fiorentina’. After Moise Kean scored the first goal for the Viola against his former club, a late goal from Riccardo Sottile leveled the match, allowing the Florentines to overtake Juventus in the standings thanks to a better goal difference. However, coach Palladino’s team is now on a four-game winless streak.
In the last five seasons, the Florentines have failed to win their first Serie A match of the new year, and their last home victory against Napoli came in 2018. Back then, a hat-trick from Giovanni Simeone, who will play this time for the Neapolitans, secured a 3-0 victory which cost Naples the Scudetto.
“The match against Napoli is the best way to start 2025 in front of our fans. We want to continue playing in the same spirit. We always want to perform against the big teams like we did in Turin,” said the coach.
-“Napoli”
“Napoli” finished 2024 in second place in the table, behind Atalanta due to a worse goal difference. However, their total of 41 points is something Antonio Conte’s side can be proud of, marking a 13-point improvement on the previous season’s 18-match total. This is the best goal difference among all Serie A clubs.
A late goal from Giacomo Raspadori – who requested a winter transfer but was vetoed by Conte – maintained their second place. This moment could prove decisive in the Italian international’s career during his time at Napoli.
The visitors will need creativity in attack given injuries to Kvaratskhelia and Politano.

“Fiorentina” vs. “Napoli”: Author’s prediction
“Napoli” will have to play with an experimental formation given the injuries to their two key wingers. In this regard, “Fiorentina” gives me more confidence. Coach Palladino’s team has demonstrated its capabilities throughout the season, and the result in Turin only fuels high expectations.
