Cinema and gastronomy in Mirande

Director David Boaretto will be present at the Astarac cinema in Mirande to present his film April in during two previews, on Thursday January 16 at 8 p.m. and Saturday January 18 at 2:30 p.m. This work tells the story of the return of ‘a little English girl in her great-grandfather’s native village, where she will discover unique intergenerational links.

Before the session, the high school’s visual artist students will share their artistic vision through a presentation prepared especially for the occasion. This moment will be followed by an in-depth analysis by their art teacher, offering spectators a unique insight into the themes and symbolism of the film.

A scientific look at the future of our landscapes

On Wednesday January 29, at 8 p.m., the Astarac cinema in Mirande offers a unique evening as part of the Au Fil de l’Eau Festival. This event will address a crucial question: “What agricultural and forestry landscapes in 2050 in France in the face of climate change?” »
The evening will begin with the screening of a conference filmed during the 2024 Fleurance Astronomy Festival, dealing with the major transformations that could affect our agricultural and forestry territories.

After the film, a videoconference discussion with Serge Zaka, doctor in agro-climatology, will allow us to explore the subject in more depth and answer questions from the public.
