The best Apple TV+ series

Since its launch in 2019, Apple TV+ has been recognized for the quality of its programs which, along with those of HBO, are among the most awarded in the world. Here is a selection of content to start on the platform:

Severance, a masterpiece about to have a season 2

Launched in 2022, Severance is one of the best series on Apple TV+. It tells the story of a dystopian society where a brain implant would separate memories in two, to dissociate one's personal life and work. Behind long white corridors, and the distressing life of a team who doesn't really know what they're working on, hide several mysteries and an astonishing critique of our society.

After three years of waiting, Severance will have a sequel on January 17, 2025. We strongly encourage you to binge-watcher season 1 to update you.

Shrinking, your future favorite series

Shrinking is a little-known series, despite its incredible quality of writing. It is both a comedy and a program of great depth, in which we laugh approximately 200 times per episode thanks to characters who are as well written as they are crazy. Shrinking follows the lives of psychologists and those around them, who must deal with their own problems (the main character has lost his wife and must raise his daughter alone). Its casting borders on perfection, with Harrison Ford as a grumpy psychologist who we can only adore.

If you've never watched Ted Lassofree Apple TV+ is an opportune time to discover this cult character. Don't be afraid if you don't like football: the storyline of this series is not what makes it so important. Its writers are the same as Shrinkingwith all very endearing characters. We warn you: you risk becoming Ted fans.

Apple TV+ also offers movies. There are several dozen on the platform, but we have selected two:

Luck, an almost-Pixar

Luck is an animated film that seems straight out of the Pixar universe, with its careful aesthetic and touching story. This is normal: it was John Lasseter, the former brains of the animation firm, who took care of it. It follows the adventures of Sam, an unlucky young woman who discovers a hidden world where good luck and bad luck are manufactured. A perfect film for families.
