“No cry, no breath…”: Sheryfa Luna announces the death of her third child

A terrible ordeal. This Thursday, January 2, Sheryfa Luna took to her Instagram account to announce a tragedy that occurred last November: the loss of her third child, Khalil, died at birth. In an emotional message, she expressed her pain. “ This year 2025 begins with a heavy heart, in search of healing. There are trials for which nothing can prepare us, trials which turn everything upside down and change us forever »confides the 35-year-old singer.

She then returns to the circumstances of this tragedy. In 2024, the singer learned with immense joy that she was going to become a mother for the third time. “I was expecting a little boy, Khalil. This pregnancy was a bubble of love, a treasure that I wanted to protect. I dreamed of the day when I could announce: ‘Thank God, I had my third child.’” However, fate took a tragic turn.

Indeed, on November 17, Sheryfa Luna gave birth to Khalil, in a chilling silence. “No cry, no breath. My son had already left. That day, I felt a pain that no words can truly describe: giving life and having to say goodbye in the same moment”she explains. The singer says she held her son in her arms, memorizing every detail of her peaceful face and her perfect little hands, while saying a final goodbye.

A few days later, she accompanied Khalil to his final resting place, a moment no mother should have to experience. “Since that day, every moment has been a battle. Khalil existed. He marked my life and transformed my soul forever,” continues the artist.

In the rest of her message, she reveals that this loss has changed her forever. “ I am no longer the same. Khalil taught me strength in fragility, love in absence, and the beauty of a bond that transcends time “, she confides. Despite the pain, she clings to her faith and finds meaning in this tragic event. According to her, her son had a much greater mission than she can yet understand.

Finally addressing all people going through this type of ordeal, Sheryfa Luna would like to remember that they are not alone. “Each pain we carry makes us a different version of ourselves, deeper, more conscious. Khalil, my son, my angel. You left too soon, but as long as I live, you will live in me”she concludes.
