Biathlon: Lou Jeanmonnot, the best of 2024
While the year 2025 began a few hours ago, Nordic Magazine suggests you look one last time towards 2024. For the occasion, the editorial team decided to establish, by only taking into account the individual World Cup races (and therefore putting the Worlds aside), the ranking of the biathlete of the year 2024.
The method adopted was simple: add up all World Cup points won by athletes during the calendar year 2024i.e. the points of the stages ofOberhof (Germany), Ruhpolding (Germany), Antholz (Italy), Oslo-Holmenkollen (Norway), Soldier Hollow (United States) and Canmore (Canada) of the 2023/2024 season and races Kontiolahti (Finland), Hochfilzen (Austria) and Annecy – Le Grand-Bornand (Haute-Savoie) for the 2024/2025 season.
On the feminine side, the ranking thus gives pride of place to French women and it is Doubiste Lou Jeanmonnot who wins the honorary title of biathlete of the year 2024. With 1,142 points collected, she is (well ahead) Julia Simon (992) et Justine Braisaz-Bouchet (886).

Elvira Oeberg (807) finished at the foot of the podium while Franziska Preuss (782), current holder of the yellow bib, completes the top 5 ahead Lena Haecki-Gross (715). Then, we find Lisa Vittozzi (705), holder of the large crystal globe but absent from the start of winter 2024/2025, and Ingrid Landmark Dental violence (660), victim of heart problems for several weeks.
-The top 10 is completed by Vanessa Voigt (641) et Anna Magnusson (505) then we find Karoline Knotten (490) et Marketa Davidova (470). Jeanne Richard (417), thanks to its good end to the year 2024, comes in thirteenth place then Anamarija Lampic (392) et Janina Hettich-Walz (381) close the top 15.
