The Bigdil was back on air this Thursday January 2, 2025 on RMC Story. In the first episode, Vincent Lagaf paid tribute to four of his former collaborators who have now passed away. He confided in Télé-Loisirs.
This Thursday, January 2, 2025, the new version of the bigdil landed on RMC Story. No worries, however, almost no changes are planned in the program. The star host of the show Vincent Lagaf set sine qua non conditions for the resumption of the show: retaining the decor, the team, the DNA of the game in short. On the occasion of the return of the program, Vincent Lagaf returned to Tele-Leisure on his first days of filming and the very notable absence of four of the members of his initial team.
“Four were missing“: Vincent Lagaf looks back on the tragic absence of certain members of his team on the set of bigdil
In mid-November 2024, everything was ready for one of the most anticipated returns on television, the comeback of the legendary game from the 90s-2000s, the bigdil. All the members of “Team Lagaf” were gathered at the Cité du Cinéma in Saint-Denis. All or almost all, because among those close to the host four teammates are missing. He wanted to pay tribute to them in the first episode. He tells us about this: “I broke down, I cried. When you started your career with four people, these four people who left us whereas if they had still been with us, they would have been on the set… One of them was my sound engineer for 35 years (Jean-Jacques), the other my dresser (Geneviève), or even my executive producer (Agnès).” “And then Olive, he was there on all the sets . He drove my car, he carried my suitcase when we were on stage. He was at all the shows. We find ourselves maybe twenty, 20, 25 from the old team. Four were missing” he concludes, visibly very affected.
“I have lost so many people who are dear to me.” : Vincent Lagaf (The Bigdil) cash on the difficult moments of his life
The presenter behind an autobiographical book in which he looks back on the great moments of his life, both happy and terrible, confides to us: “I have lost so many people dear to me in somewhat incredible, dramatic or terrifying conditions that it never leaves me. SO I’ve gotten used to losing my friends and it’s difficult for me to cope with because they are people who are part of my life. And my life is not just about being a big, badly licked bear in his Provençal cave. He’s also a guy who can only live with a group of accomplices.” Convinced that the history of bigdil was above all that of a great friendship, Vincent Lagaf does not regret having brought the original team on board again, starting with his faithful partner, Gilles Vautier who has played Bill the extraterrestrial since 1998.
