Squid Game season 2: The leading man joins the game – Squid Game (Netflix)

Spoiler alert: This article contains spoilers from Squid Game season 2.

Squid Game Season 2 has already kept fans in suspense, and one of the biggest jaw-dropping moments involves the Front Man, played by Lee Byung-hun. During a recent interview with Netflix K-content, Byung-hun shed some light on his character’s unexpected decision to delve into the very games he’s pulling the strings from. He explained that initially, In-Ho (the straw man) was on a mission to destroy everything. But as the games went on, he began to enjoy the chaos a little too much. Byung-hun explained that this change in In-Ho’s mindset was something he and the director worked on carefully, making the role both a challenge and a pleasure.

The big reveal of In-Ho’s involvement in the games doesn’t come until the end of episode 3, and it certainly took viewers by surprise. Byung-hun mentioned that even though the leading man thinks Gi-hun’s methods are wrong, there is a part of him, deep inside, that might secretly wish Gi-hun was right . This added layer of complexity makes In-Ho one of the most intriguing characters in the series.

With the season finale ending on a cliffhanger, fans are already wondering what this twist means for the upcoming finale season. Luckily, the wait won’t be long, as Squid Game season 3 is expected to premiere later this year.

What do you think? Will In-Ho’s hidden motives turn Gi-hun’s life upside down in the final season?
