Inter midfielder Davide Frattesi is seriously considering leaving the club, dissatisfied with his limited playing time according to Corriere dello Sport. Despite a year and a half in Milan, he is still relegated to second place behind Nicolò Barella, an indisputable starter in Inzaghi's team. Although he has proven his worth with the Nazionale, Frattesi remains confined to a substitute role, a situation he now considers unacceptable.
His discontent, already expressed last summer via his agent Giuseppe Riso, resurfaces. Now, those around him are exploring solutions for a departure in January, even if a separation in June remains more likely. Roma appears to be a favored destination for Frattesi, who spent his training there after a spell at Lazio. Claudio Ranieri, Roma coach, would be keen to recruit him, seeing in him a valuable reinforcement to revitalize his team.
However, several obstacles complicate this operation. Inter invested almost 32 million euros to acquire Frattesi and would not be willing to sell him for less than 40 million. Roma, facing financial constraints, may struggle to meet these demands. A loan also seems unlikely, as Inter are expected to replace Frattesi should he leave. A solution could involve the sale of certain disappointing players on the Roman side, such as Le Fée or Pellegrini. If no agreement is reached in January, he will finish the season at Inter before a probable transfer next summer.
