Manchester United manager begs management to sign this player.

Manchester United is in a desperate situation. After tempting Erik ten Hag, promising Ajax coach, the management decided to part with it to recruit the reigning champion of Portugal, Ruben Amorim. His debut was promising, notably with a victory against Manchester City. However, since this match won against the rival, the Red Devils have had 4 consecutive defeats in all competitions, including 3 in the Premier League.

Currently 14e of the Premier League, European competitions are far from their reach. This ranking, which is far too low for a club of this stature, could have a major impact on the financial aspect of Manchester United.

Ruben Amorim, the manager of Manchester Unitedtherefore puts pressure on the club’s leaders to obtain the signature of the Swedish striker Viktor Gyökeres in January. Gyökeres, 26, who currently plays for Sporting Lisbon, stood out under Amorim and was initially considered a target for the summer transfer window. However, the difficulties encountered by United in front of the goals led to a reassessment.

Amorim insists delaying transfer until summer no longer viable, says The Mirror. Sporting are demanding the full release clause, around €96 million, to let Gyökeres leave mid-season. They might be open to a price reduction in the summer. Marcus Rashford et Joshua Zirkzee are among the players linked with moves away from United, which could generate the funds needed for the transfer.
