These projects which will transform the Dinan conurbation in 2025

We no longer present it: the health center, in the city center of Dinan, should open in the first quarter of 2025. Started at the end of 2023, work on the building, the financing and location of which has sparked numerous debates in municipal council, are accompanied by a second project for new parking spaces, and should be completed soon.

  • 3- The reopening of the northern front of the ramparts, eagerly awaited

    It is a large-scale project which should reach its end in 2025: that of the rehabilitation of the northern front of the ramparts of Dinan. Started in June 2022, it is one of the largest heritage projects in . While a small part was open to the public on the occasion of heritage days in September, the entire 600 m of renovated curtain walls will be accessible at the beginning of summer 2025.

  • 4- The youth housing residence, ongoing project

    The laying of the first stone of the new FJT (young workers’ home), planned on the site of the former Eréa, Taden zone, took place in 2024. The project is expected to last two years. Its 145 housing units, whose delivery was planned for 2024, then for 2025, will finally be delivered in 2026, for a total amount of €11.4 million.

  • 5- A cider house in the Goods Hall

    The construction site is on schedule and the opening should be too. The old goods hall of Dinan, transformed into a cider house and a third place in the heart of the city by Pierre and Simon Lorand, the founding brothers of the Ti-Lõ company, should open its doors in spring 2025. The structural work This million-euro project began at the end of August 2024 with the removal of the existing roof followed by asbestos removal.

  • 6- A long-term project: the installation of fiber

    Started in 2018, the deployment of optical fiber continues in Dinan Agglomération. Compared by elected officials to the connection to electricity or drinking water, the pharaonic project of deploying Very High Speed ​​across the entire territory is underway: currently, 60% of the territory is covered, with 40,000 lines connectable. The entire territory will be covered by the end of 2026.

  • 7- The rehabilitation of the former Aucaleuc military camp

    At the end of September, work started on the former Aucaleuc military camp. The solar farm being installed there should be operational in 2026 and aims to be an exemplary project in environmental terms, both for energy production and for protection of the site. Its 28 hectares of panels will border, on the northern part of the land of approximately 70 hectares, a zone for the development of natural spaces, with a management plan adapted by the brand new PNR.

    The Briochine company IEL is carrying out an ambitious photovoltaic farm project, for €20 million, on the former Aucaleuc military camp. The prior consultation with the population took place at the end of 2022, and the public inquiry in 2023. (IEL)
