Why do the sales start a week earlier in the Meuse?

The winter sales will officially begin on Wednesday January 8, 2025 and end on Tuesday February 4, 2025. However, in certain departments, consumers have already started shopping in advance. In Lorraine and Overseas, the dates differ.

In four departments of Lorraine (Moselle, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Meuse and Vosges), sales were able to start on Thursday January 2, 2025. The reason? Competition with Luxembourg. This border country kicks off the sales at the start of the month. The Lorraine winter sales will therefore end one week before, on Wednesday January 29, 2025, one week before mainland France.

In the DROM-COM

Overseas, the dates of winter sales also vary. In Guadeloupe, these promotions will begin from Saturday January 4, 2025 to Friday January 31, 2025 and in Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, it will be from January 22, 2025 to Tuesday February 18, 2025. For the islands of Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin , the wait is longer there. You will have to wait until May 3, 2025 for the winter sales, and they will end on Friday May 30, 2025. The summer sales are in October.

On Reunion Island, summer sales are planned. They will start on February 1, 2025 until Friday February 28, 2025. Likewise for the summer sales, in New Caledonia, they will be held from Saturday February 22, 2025 to Sunday March 23, 2025.

For Polynesia, sales do not differentiate between winter and summer. The first sale period will be from Wednesday January 22, 2025 to Sunday February 9, 2025.

For Guyana, Martinique and Mayotte, the dates of the winter sales are the same as in mainland France.
