His father, Pierre Civil, is a university professor at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University – Paris 3, while his mother Françoise Moulin Civil is a Hispanist, specialist in literature and civilization of Latin America. Aged 72, she has held prestigious positions throughout her career. In particular, she was president of the University of Cergy-Pontoise from 2008 to 2012, as well as rector of the Lyon academy from 2012 to 2018. The mother of François Civil, who bought a beautiful house next to a famous forest, was also made knight of the Legion of Honor in 2009, as well as Commander of the National Order of Merit in 2023.
Everyone therefore excels in their field in the Civil family.
