Mbour, 26 (APS) – The director general of police, Mame Seydou Ndour, inaugurated, on Thursday, the new premises of the central police station of Mbour (West), noted the APS.
Mame Seydou Ndour unveiled the plaque of this infrastructure in the presence of local, religious and customary authorities of the city, as well as officials from the national police and the director of construction from the Ministry of the Interior.
”This building which was demolished and completely rebuilt is a renovated, functional, adapted setting [qui] meets all the functionalities,” said the divisional police commissioner, Ndiara Sène, director of public security.
“The service is prepared to receive a larger workforce,” he noted, announcing that “the strengthening of human resources and material resources will follow, in order to allow the Mbour police to be able to take charge of all security concerns.”
“The objective is in line with the authorities’ stated desire to provide the police services with new, adapted modern infrastructures,” indicated the director of public security.
He also announced that “shortly, arrangements will be made for the operation, every day of the week, of the passport service” of the Mbour police station.
