The creator Hwang Dong-hyuk anticipated a substantial difference compared to the first season: “If the first season was focused on the player 456 and his experience in the game, the second season will see a greater focus on his memories of this atrocious experience and about his return to the game to stop it once and for all.”
Seong Gi-hun, from winner to hunter
Three years after winning the Squid Games, Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) is tormented by the ghosts of the past and obsessed with the idea of unmasking the organization that lies behind the deadly games. His fortune, the fruit of victory, becomes a tool to investigate and infiltrate the system, but the road to the truth is fraught with danger.
New challenges, new horrors
To destroy the organization, Gi-hun will have to participate in the games again, facing even more lethal trials and a climate of mistrust and betrayal.
