The Cannavaro Ferrara Foundation gala hosted 600 people for an evening of celebration, music but above all solidarity for the future of the young people of Secondigliano
The fundraising promoted by the Foundation for the “I Fuori-Classe di Napoli” project amounted to 35 thousand euros. During the evening, surprisingly, there was also the arrival of the Napoli coach, Antonio Conte. The summary of the wonderful evening in one minute.
The magic of Christmas has illuminated the Mediterranean Theatre from the Overseas Exhibition of Naples in the evening of December 19, 2024where the highly anticipated event took place “FCF Christmas Charity 2024 – Christmas Concert”. The event, organized by Cannavaro Ferrara Foundationcombined the excellence of Italian music, Neapolitan haute cuisine and solidarity, with the aim of supporting the project “The Out-of-Class of Naples”, an ambitious initiative dedicated to combating school dropout in the Secondigliano district.
The evening, which saw the participation of 600 guestsfor a fundraiser for the project equal to 35 thousand euroswas characterized by three main moments: an exclusive Carpet e Dinner Buffet in the Foyer of the Theatre, the maestro's concert Eduardo De Crescenzo con “Jazz Essences”, and a refined sweet buffet accompanied by champagne tasting and musical entertainment until late.
The surprise arrival of the Napoli coach, Antonio Contewho spoke with the Foundation team showing great sensitivity for the just cause of the evening.
The words expressed from the Founders stage were emotional – Ciro Ferrara, Vincenzo Ferrara, Paolo Cannavaro (Fabio Cannavaroheld back by foreign commitments, followed remotely) with the historical godmother of the Foundation Maria Mazza.
The president of the Foundation Ciro Ferrara recalled the origins of the project: “In 2005, together we transformed a dream into concrete reality. Today, we see in this room not only illustrious guests and supporters, but a community united by the same vision: that of a Naples that leaves none of its children behind.”
Maria Mazza he then presented the project “The Out-of-Class of Naples”, promoted by the association L'Agora Partenopea APSwhich aims to reach and involve 100 minors in particularly vulnerable conditions. The project will develop through activities at the Football Padel Club and the Sandro Pertini Youth Center in Secondigliano, offering training and personal development courses through sport, music and specific workshops. “When a child drops out of school,” he explained, “he doesn't just lose an education: he loses the chance to dream of a different future.”
The event saw the extraordinary participation of the Maestro Eduardo De Crescenzo, who enchanted the public with his project “Jazz Essences”, accompanied by some of the most appreciated musicians of the contemporary jazz scene. A show that demonstrated how art and music can be powerful tools for social change.
The culinary experience, coordinated by “I love Events“, saw the participation of numerous starred and renowned chefs from Campania, as well as excellent food companies.
Paolo Cannavaroin his speech, underlined the importance of the support received: “Your support represents the entrepreneurial and creative soul of Naples, the one that knows how to get involved for the common good. This is not just a charity evening: it is the demonstration that Naples knows how to be a big family when it comes to helping those who need it most.”
A particularly touching moment of the evening was the memory of Holy Roman, young man who tragically passed away, to whose memory a moving tribute was dedicated, highlighted by Vincenzo Ferrara: “You can't die at 19 in such an absurd way. Our message goes to the memory of Santo, a boy full of values, a noble soul and goalkeeper of Micri. We are committed to transmitting these principles. Since 2005, year after year, our Foundation has demonstrated that change is possible. We have seen young people transform their lives through sport, discovering talents they didn't know they had.”
