Kate Winslet: “There's no courage in showing myself without makeup, it's just about playing a role”

The film star turned 49 in October and is aimed primarily at women, having experienced firsthand how complicated it is to accept oneself and be seen by the public with a face lined with wrinkles.

Kate Winslet is currently promoting her film Lee and on the subject he added: “Many people tell me “How brave you were to show yourself without make-up, you know you have wrinkles. But does anyone ever say things like that to men? Someone tells him: “How brave you were for this role, you grew a beard”. No!”.

He then admitted to having received comments like: “It happens to me all the time! And there's no courage, it's just about playing a role.” He then admitted that he no longer had any intention of having them corrected blemishes due to age with lights or make-up: “I don't care anymore, it's exhausting to keep up with this dynamic.”
