Directed by Dustin Rikert and produced between Ireland and the United States, the 84-minute film tells the journey of two brothers, Lindsay and Brad, in search of a different and meaningful Christmas, in the magical atmosphere of the Scottish Highlands. In the cast, Lacey Chabert and Scott Wolfin a story that explores the value of family and the beauty of finding oneself. Appointment at 9pm on Rai 2.

Lindsay e Brad Morganbrothers who have taken different paths for some time, decide to spend the Christmas with mother Jofinding themselves in their old home in Scotland. However, among childhood memories and the inevitable tensions that have never completely subsided, an unexpected family secret emerges, a truth that forces them to confront their past and what has driven them apart.

Immersed in the enchanting atmosphere of the Highlands, Lindsay and Brad will therefore find themselves dealing with old wounds e new possibilities for reconciliation. But will they really be able to overcome their differences and rediscover the lost harmony?

Despite being formally set in Scotland, the film A very Scottish Christmas was shot mainly in Irelandtaking advantage of the suggestive locations of the country. The castle that appears in the film is actually the Barberstown Castlelocated in Straffan, County Kildare. As for the scenes set in the distillery, these were filmed at the historic building Kilbeggan Distilleryor “the oldest licensed distillery in Ireland”. Another curiosity? The main actors, Lacey Chabert and Scott Wolf, they had already acted as brothers in the cult series of the 90s Five in the family.
