The Christmas road to the Holy Door. It will be held today at 10pm, after the evening Mass on Christmas Eve and the inauguration rite of the Jubilee presided over by Pope Francis, «Notes of Christmas-Jubilee Special», the event that combines music, culture and tradition. The program, hosted by Eleonora Daniele, will accompany spectators in the atmosphere of the Holy Night with the voices of artists such as Giovanni Allevi, Claudio Baglioni, Andrea Bocelli, the choir of the Cappella Giulia of St. Peter's Basilica, the violinist Anastasiya Petryshak and the steps of dance by Roberto Bolle on a path that becomes a metaphor for approaching the Holy Door.
«The notes of Christmas», the first appointment of the Jubilee year, will introduce the Rai 1 audience to the story and atmosphere of an ancient rite with the words of Cardinal Mauro Gambetti, Archpriest of the Papal Basilica of St. Peter in the Vatican and Vicar General of His Holiness for the Vatican City, and of Father Ibrahim Faltas, Vicar of the Custody of the Holy Land, in connection from the Grotto of the Nativity in Bethlehem.
«Christmas is a universal celebration that unites everyone in a moment of reflection, gratitude and hope. Never like this year will the eyes of the world, on Christmas night, be focused on St. Peter's Basilica – declared Father Enzo Fortunato, director of Communications of St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican -, where the solemn rite of the opening will take place of the Holy Door. The Notes of Christmas is intended to be the continuation of the joy that Pope Francis gives to the Church at the opening of the ordinary Jubilee.”
«The notes of Christmas», in its third edition, is a program from the Prime Time Entertainment Directorate, written by Paola Miletich and directed by Marco Capasso.
