A Christmas party for homeless at the Central station of Milan with the Christmas Eve lunch in Piazza Duca d'Aosta, in front of the Hotel Gallia. Santa Claus on a gondola on the Navigli
Today at 4.30pm on the Navigli there is a special surprise for the children: Santa Claus lands in Milan aboard a gondola. Santa Claus will arrive in town to bring gifts to children accompanied by his faithful elves. It will start from the headquarters of the National Sailors of Italy association in viale Gorizia 9 and will arrive at Martin Luciano's courtyard at number 58 of the Alzaia Naviglio Grande. Once he lands, he will give gifts to the children and offer everyone a slice of panettone. The proceeds from the initiative will be donated to the De Marchi ETS Foundation. Art and nativity scene at Palazzo Marino
For today it is possible to visit Palazzo Marino “The Madonna of San Simone” by Federico Barocci, framed by a scenographic installation illustrated by Carlo Scarpa, set up in the Alessi room, the historic representative hall of the Municipality of Milan. Like every year, the exhibition is free and open to entry. In addition to the exhibition, it is possible to admire the Neapolitan nativity scene by Giuseppe Sammartinousually exhibited in the Decorative Arts museum of the Sforzesco Castle, set up in the Tapestry room of Palazzo Marino. Sammartino, a virtuoso of 18th century Neapolitan sculpture, created this scene subsequently enriched by other artists, who characterized the characters inspired by contemporary Neapolitan society. In addition to Santa Claus' house, here there are several Christmas attractions such as flying sleighs, the magic Christmas tree, the Polar express, the train that takes you to the North Pole, penguin fishing, but also the ice rink and a area dedicated to street food. Skating rink in Piazza Città di Lombardia
The largest ice rink in Milan is also open today from 10am to 6pm: the one in Piazza City of Lombardyunder Palazzo della Regione, where you can skate outdoors but indoors under a metal and glass vault on the ice rink that embraces the entire square.
