The operation was conducted through an intensive and global investigation, involving the identification and contact of those managing the portals. In total, 138 domini have been transferred under the control of ACE and will shortly be redirected to the Legal Offer page on the Alliance's official website. Below are the words of Larissa Knapp, Executive Vice President and Chief Content Protection Officer for the Motion Picture Association (MPA).

The closure of this globally known live sports piracy network is a major victory in our campaign against live sports piracy and follows other recent successful actions by ACE and law enforcement in Vietnam. ACE Live Sports members face a unique threat when it comes to digital piracy, as live sports broadcasts lose substantial commercial value once the game is over. The closure serves as a warning to piracy operators everywhere, including live sports piracy operators, that ACE will identify and shut down their illegal operations.

The MarkkyStreams network sites were frequented primarily by audiences located in the United States and Canada. They broadcast sports content from every championship and league, covering events for which they hold the rights ACE beIN Sports, Canal+ e DAZN. There is also a comment from Ed McCarthy, Chief Operating Officer of the latter platform.

DAZN stands alongside ACE in the fight to eradicate piracy, which undermines the sports ecosystem at all levels. It is very gratifying that a criminal operation of this scale has been dismantled. Piracy often compromises the security of fan data, which is then used for illegal purposes, so shutting down this piracy network has the added benefit that potential subscribers will be directed to legitimate content providers like DAZN.
