The Harry Potter films are among the most successful in the history of cinema and the soundtracks are very well known and award-winning. Harry Potter music arrives lon Boxing Day evening in Lugano in a unique concert by The Magical Film Orchestra, all eight chapters of the saga, with a special guest from the films
Al Palazzo dei Congressi, Thursday 26 December at 8pm, an evening whose ingredients are fun, good humor and a touch of magic essential for a musical journey with Harry Potter, made of friendship, adventure and love in the dangerous world of wizards. The audience will get there thanks to the use of the most advanced laser light, sound and staging technology. The unique atmosphere will leave the audience speechless. The visual and magical effects will make the hearts of all Harry fans beat a little faster.
The program features the best music from Harry Potter, from all eight films and from musical works written by four talented composers: John Williams who wrote the music for the first three films, including the famous “Hedwig's Theme”, the leitmotif from the Harry Potter films, and “Double Trouble” – the classic Hogwarts tune with a children's choir, as well as the fun “Aunt Marges Waltz” and “Witches, Wands and Wizards”. Songs such as “Hogwarts Hymn” by Patrick Doyle, from the fourth Harry Potter film, will take audiences into the mysterious and dark world of the Triwizard Tournament. Nicholas Hooper composed “Dumbledore's Farewell” for the fifth and sixth Harry Potter films, helping to develop and enrich the music of Harry Potter. Finally, Alexandre Desplat, composer of the last two works of the film series, has created a grand and unforgettable final and musical experience, with songs such as “Lily's Theme“.
