2025 for Italian football will open with Italian Super Cup in Saudi Arabia, in Riyadh. The format will be the same as last year when Inter managed to triumph in the final against Napoli, the Final Four. The teams that will take part in the competition will be Inter, Atalanta, Milan e Juventus.

The Nerazzurri are the reigning champions and will have to defend the title. Milan secured a place in the Final Four thanks to their second place in the last championship. Through the Italian Cup, however, Atalanta and Juventus also qualified, both finalists.

Regulation

The regulation states that, if the result is a draw at the end of regular time, extra time will not be played, but the referee will go directly to penalty kicks.

Already since the last season the regulation has also changed regarding cards and disqualifications. The players of the teams participating in the Super Cup who are disqualified in the championship will not miss the Super Cup semi-final, but will serve the suspension in the following round of the championship. Only an expulsion in the semi-final can blow the Super Cup final.
