Bad thoughts can settle further down. Roma gets back on top in the championship, overwhelming Parma in the 12.30 match and moving up to 19th in the standings, a safe distance from the risk zone. Dybala's brace, Saelemaekers' goal in fine style, Paredes' sharp penalty and Dovbyk's seal gave Claudio Ranieri his second victory in Serie A, at the end of a match dominated by the Giallorossi in the presence of a willing Parma but in emergency and in clear difficulty as the minutes passed.

five minutes

Ranieri fields the best available, from Hummels to Paredes up to Saelemarkers and Dovbyk, passing through Dybala. Parma, without the injured Circati, Charpentier, Bernabé, Estevez and Osorio, presents itself at the Olimpico with a 4-2-3-1 with Bonny at the top. And the first real chance of the match in the 3rd minute comes from the yellow-blue center forward who, taking advantage of a percussion from Sohm resulting in a through pass into the area, angles the conclusion too much, also arousing Pecchia's disappointment. The Giallorossi shake themselves up and begin to maneuver, allowing Dovbyk to become dangerous 2' later with an assist from Angelino. At the second attempt, Roma passes: triangulation between the Ukrainian and Dybala, with the Argentine being brought down in the area by Balogh. From eleven metres, Joya makes no mistake: the ball goes to the corner and Suzuki is wrong-footed. It is the psychological boost that Roma were looking for to take away pressure and stress. And in fact the hosts begin to show elegant shots and phrases, possible only with the rediscovered serenity: the 2-0 scored by Saelemaekers is emblematic who, in the 13th minute, takes advantage of a cross with Angelino's revolution counter and unleashes a right-footed volley that Suzuki doesn't even see. A feat that the public at the Olimpico appreciates quite a bit. As a logical consequence of the double advantage, Parma tries to react with all the pride possible and, after some important closures from Hummels & Co., the guests also create a serious danger in the 20th minute with a long range shot from Hernani who Svilar in dive deflects onto the crossbar. The match continues at a good pace and before the end of the half, between breaks and reverses, there is time for two attacks by Parma with Sohm and Almqvist and above all for two opportunities for El Shaarawy, who in particular gets blocked in the second from Suzuki on the most beautiful.

In the second half, Pecchia throws Camara into the fray in place of Mohamed and changes the formation to 4-3-3 with the Man-Bonny-Almvqvist trident. But it is always Roma, masters of the pitch, who impose ball possession and play. And in the 6th minute Dybala's hat-trick arrives, pushing a deflected shot from Saelemaekers into the net (the VAR also confirms the correct position of Dovbyk who had intercepted the ball). Enthusiasm returns to the Olimpico and flashes of good football from Ranieri's men can be seen again. Pecchia, for his part, tries to stay in the game by keeping the team as compact as possible, with the elements he has at his disposal. Another long-range shot from Camara chipped the crossbar in the 23rd minute, while Roma continued to create chances and in the 28th minute they got their second penalty kick, with Saelemaekers, overwhelmed by Mihaila: this time it was Paredes' turn from the spot and the conclusion of the play is as effective as that of compatriot Dybala in the first half. Poker was served and the last minutes were used by the home team only to consolidate the mechanisms in view of the next three terrible matches with Milan, Lazio and Bologna and to also allow Dovbyk to return to the goal with a tap in after an illuminating touch from the usual Dybala (still dangerous later in the credits).
