Roma-Parma 5-0, report cards and scoreboard: Dybala leads the Giallorossi, Saelemaekers and Paredes protagonists

After the defeat against Como, Roma found success again, driven by Dybala's brace and goals from Dovbyk, Paredes and Saelemaekers.

For continuity we have to wait for the next matches, but in the meantime Roma didn't fail at the Olimpico in a match they had to win at all costs. Against Parma it was a slow success from the first minutes of the match, with the Giallorossi capable of breaking the deadlock with Dybala's penalty and quickly doubling the lead with Saelemaekers. Thus, in one fell swoop, Claudio Ranieri's team caught up with Torino with today's 5-0, moving Lecce and Genoa away by three points.

First test passed, now Milan. For Roma, in fact, the match with which 2024 will end is the one against another fluctuating team, but still seven points ahead and with one less match played. The match at San Siro will be fundamental for both, between a shaky Fonseca and a Ranieri who tries to bring a decisive shock to his team after replacing Juric.

Pecchia's Parma suffered their third defeat in a row, once again in the hot zone and aware that in 2025 they will have to fight blow for blow to remain in Serie A. At the Olimpico there wasn't even time to adapt to the Olimpico pitch which she was immediately struck by Balogh's naive trip on Dybala, who was able to put his team forward from the spot.

Parma was too firm even on the occasion of Saelemakers' second goal, in the right place and at the right time following Angelino's assist. In the second half, Dybala scores a brace after the referee's OK (a possible offside was thought), Paredes gets the poker on another penalty that closes the game and Dovbyk gets the super poker on the assist from a wild Joya.

Looking forward to the future, Roma shows they can still dominate. But continuity will be needed to avoid completely throwing the year away.
