Serie A – Lecce-Lazio 1-2 report cards – Tete Morente and Castellanos sumptuous. Gila particularly distracted

Lecce's report cards

Wladimiro FALCONE 7: he truly saves everything, except the two “inevitable” trajectories: Castellanos' penalty and Marusic's very angled volley between a forest of legs.

Frédéric GUILBERT 6: he often breaks through on the right wing. At the end of the first half he causes – with that arm on the goal line – the Lazio penalty which breaks the deadlock and gets the red card. The intentions, however, were more than good. Indeed, desperate, since Taty Castellanos' empty-net shot could only have ended in the bottom of the bag.

Federico BASCHIROTTO 6: he starts off distracted and approximate, then becomes the protagonist of a decidedly grim defensive performance.

Gaby JEAN 6: sometimes the French defender born in 2000, formerly of , is slow to regain his position.

From 90'+2 Nicola Sansone: sv.

Patrick DORGU 6.5: inexhaustible on the left flank in the first half and, during the second half, along the right where he is moved for tactical needs.

Lassana COULIBALY 6: in the midfield, the former Salernitana player alternates punctual interventions with plays that are a little too predictable and elementary. Sufficiency, however, is there.

Medon BERISHA 7: monstrous save on Zaccagni, in the stretch, around 74'. In general, in his central midfield garrison, he takes them all, always restarting the action, like a good metronome. He leaves the field, exhausted, in the 79th minute.

Dal 79' Mohamed Kaba 6.5: the Franco-Guinean former midfielder enters with the right attitude and comes close to making it 2-2 with a header with that crossbar that still demands revenge.

Hamza RAFIA 6,5: performance of substance and quality between the lines, in harmony with Pierotti and Krstovic.

Dal 60' Balthazar Pierret 6.5: key balance between defense and midfield for a Lecce forced into numerical inferiority for the entire second half.

Santiago PIEROTTI 6: racing, sacrifice, competitive anger. Half a vote less, obviously, for that missed goal with the net wide open in full injury time after Kaba's crossbar.

Nikola KRSTOVIC 5.5: He uses his body a lot and is difficult to mark. But, up front, as often happens to him, he makes the same mistake: when he finds himself with the ball at his feet, he lowers his head and starts straight ahead, totally ignoring the teammates around him.

From 60' Ante Rebic 6.5: the former Milan player, as always, enters and breaks the balance. In full recovery he masterfully works the ball sent over the crossbar by Rafia.

Tete MORENTE 7.5: he scores – with an extraordinary counter-ball shot at the start of the second half -, defends with great generosity, appears confident in every play and at the last gasp, from distance, risks even making it 2-2. The Linense striker has officially been released.

Mister Marco GIAMPAOLO 6.5: his Lecce loses but, in the second half, outnumbered, he commands the field and puts Lazio behind the board. Great personality.

Lazio's report cards

Ivan PROVEDEL 6: Tete Morente's counterattack was uncatchable in the 50th minute. In general, he does not make mistakes.

Manuel LAZZARI 5.5: he fails to push as per his standards along the right lane.

From 84' Adam Marusic 7: the fantasy players, already resigned to the most laconic of “sv”, had to change their minds by jumping from the sofa with that very angled shot, on the fly, which went out behind Falcone. Unexpected surprise.

Mario CRAZY 4.5: really distracted during the Tete Morente goal. Out of position, keeps everyone in the game.

Alessio ROMAGNOLI 5.5: The former Milan player was often in difficulty in his defensive outputs against the Salento pressing.

Nuno TAVARES 6: still not at his best physically, the former Nottingham Forest player still provides a quality performance down the left.

From 70' Luca Pellegrini 5.5: he enters the game badly, getting lost in the simplest plays.

Mattéo GUENDOUZI 6.5: usual intense competition in midfield. A consistency of performance that never abandons her.

Nicolò ROVELLA 6.5: his through ball for Castellanos on the occasion of Taty's double chance before the Biancoceleste penalty kick.

Gustav ISAKSEN 5,5: he presents himself discreetly between the attack lines, but is very shy in front of the mirror.

Dal 70' Loum Tchaouna 5,5: foul and uncoordinated. The former Salernitana also ends up in the “bad guys' book”.

Boulaye DIA 5: bad as a central attacking midfielder. The former Salernitana player touches very few balls and wanders around the pitch, lost, for over an hour of play.

Dal 64' Pedro 7: usual unattainable quality. He took the ball from the left, returned short by Tete Morente, on the occasion of the equalizer signed by Adam Marusic.

Mattia ZACCAGNI 6: he doesn't appear to be in great condition to attempt the winning play up front. The sufficiency comes from the numerous times in which he sacrifices himself in the defensive phase.

Dall'84' Tijjani Noslin: sv.

Valentin CASTELLANOS 7: spatial first half with rigor obtained and transformed with great coolness. The second half, however, was played a little quietly.

Mister Marco BARONI 6.5: great ex on duty, the “sfanga” with the unexpected goal of a substitution like Adam Marusic. However, he deserves applause because against Marco Giampaolo's Lecce, especially at the “Via del Mare”, it is starting to be difficult for everyone.

Baroni: “Satisfied? There is no such thing as an “I” in football, otherwise I would play alone”
