In the first half the Emilians had the chance to take the lead straight away with a penalty from Castro, who however was hypnotized by Milinkovic-Savic. Then, in the second half the goals of Dallinga and the former Pobega legitimized the territorial domination of the Italian troop
Turin and Bologna competed on an early winter afternoon in which a draw would clearly have been an inconvenient result for both. And after less than ten minutes the Bolognese had the chance to take the lead with a penalty, awarded by VAR after a suspicious contact in the Granada area. But from eleven meters Santiago Castro was denied the joy of a goal by Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, author of a splendid intervention.
The failure to score, however, did not mentally block the Bolognese, who still maintained control of the game. Then, in the 26th minute it was Sosa who looked for the goal with a nice left winger which however ended up more than a meter wide. In a first half of a lot of study and few initiatives, almost all starting from the flanks, one of the best opportunities came at the end of the first half, when after a mid-field break Maripan launched Karamoh well towards Ravaglia, but Beukema managed to keep him at take care not to allow him to finish on goal. The end of the first half then saw two flare-ups each: the first with Sanabria who was anticipated by Ravaglia in a high exit, and on the following turnaround Milinkovic who grabbed after Dominguez's conclusion.
In the second half it was Bologna who believed in it more, especially with various crosses coming from the wingers for an always very combative Castro. Mesmerized by the opposing goalkeeper, however, the Argentine wasn't having his best afternoon, and had to entrust the task of causing harm to other players. And it was the former player Pobega who made the most notable attempt of the hour, hitting the crossbar with a nice shot from outside.
But the guests' best intentions were rewarded in the 71st minute, when newly introduced Dallinga transformed Miranda's good lead into a goal. A surgical shot from the Dutchman, his first goal with the red and blue shirt. A perfect relay between the Argentine and him, proving Vincenzo Italiano's ability to read matches. And the visitors' dominance was legitimized in the 80th minute by Pobega's second, whose low shot ended up in the bottom of the bag. It was the final blow that once again brought a Turin that was too fluctuating to its knees, but at the same time propelled Bologna to sixth place in the standings, on equal points with Juventus. Italiano's machine is slowly getting into gear…
