The streaming giant Netflix has decided to enter the world of football in a major way. As announced in a press release, a historic agreement was reached with FIFA for the exclusive rights for the United States of America for the 2027 and 2031 editions of the Women’s World Cup. This tournament will therefore be the first competition to be purchased entirely by Netflix and will allow US fans unprecedented access to every match and coverage of the event which will also feature a studio with top-level commentators and international football stars. The deal also includes Puerto Rico and will have dual broadcasts in English and Spanish.
