How to use ChatGPT with WhatsApp

You do not need to have an OpenAI account to use the service but just add the number 1-800-242-8478 to your WhatsApp contacts and send a message to start chatting. From OpenAI they state that ChatGPT will never start a conversation spontaneously but that the initiative must always come from the user. The service ChatGPT on WhatsApp offers several features useful, including:

• Brainstorm or ask for creative writing assistance.
• Get advice on recipes, travel or other curiosities.
• Chat about general topics such as news, hobbies or culture.

However, some advanced features, such as customization with specific instructions, integrated search or image processing, are not available in this mode. To access such tools, you need to use an account via the official ChatGPT app or website.

For voice calls, OpenAI recommends using quiet environments and to activate noise isolation features, such as “Voice Isolation” available on some iOS devices.

Use of the service is subject to some limitations, including:
