The supply, achieved thanks to the victory of a public tender by Stellantis Fleet & Business last February, is added at 850 Alfa Romeo Tonale “Volante” already operational on Italian roads. In the coming months, these will be further integrated with another 350 units, demonstrating the joint commitment between Alfa Romeo and the police in improving technological and operational equipment for road safety.
Alfa Romeo Stelvio marks an important innovation as the first SUV of the brand to officially become part of the Traffic Police fleet, becoming a real “Panther” of the State Police. This new inclusion represents a further step in the tradition of Alfa Romeo cars serving public safety, adding versatility and functionality to the police force. The vehicle also guarantees a significant improvement in comfort for officers, particularly during long and demanding shifts carried out on Italian motorways.
All new Alfa Romeo Stelvios are equipped with 210 horsepower 2.2 diesel engine, an 8-speed automatic transmission and Q4 all-wheel driveoffering superior performance and greater safety in daily operations. The external trim includes the characteristic white-blue livery, special lights and a light panel with variable messages. Inside, the passenger compartment has been adapted to provide more space for traffic police equipment, with a four-seat configuration and two movable containers, one in the passenger compartment and one in the trunk.
