Juventus-Cagliari saw the first half end 1-0. In the round of 16 of the Italian Cup Vlahović scored, after the rossoblù had held the field well.

The first half
Thirty-eight seconds and Cagliari could score on the first action: Zortea breaks through on the right (where McKennie is an adapted full-back), low cross and Lapadula turns in the center of the area with Di Gregorio performing a miracle with his foot. The rossoblù attempted the shot three times in the same action: the first two, from Deiola and Prati, were blocked by the Juventus defence, the last from Marin was wide.
Juventus made themselves known in the 13th minute with an almost casual move, Koopmeiners looked for a shot and a rebound favored Vlahović whose left-footed shot went wide. Shortly after half of the first half, goals from Savona and Conceição, the latter narrowly wide to the right of the goal defended by Scuffet. He made a noteworthy intervention in the 36th minute, following a shot from the edge by Conceição which was raised for a corner.
At 44′ the opening goal: Vlahović receives Yıldız in the area with his back to goal, turns on Wieteska and crosses with his left foot with a rebound off the post before entering the net.
