The 23-year-old striker on social media: “It’s a shock, I haven’t done anything wrong”

L’Chelsea striker Mykhailo Mudryk it turned out positive still anti-doping control following a routine urinalysis. The London club confirmed this in a statement, adding that Mykhailo “categorically confirmed that he had never knowingly used prohibited substances”. “Both Mykhailo and the club will work with the relevant authorities to establish what caused the positive result,” concludes Chelsea, currently second in the Premier League.

The Ukrainian footballer also announced the news on his social channels. “I can confirm that I was advised that a sample I provided to the FA contained a banned substance. This was a real one shockWhy I’ve never used it of banned substances or broke any rules and I am working closely with my team to investigate how this could have happened. I know I haven’t done anything wrong e I hope I can get back on the pitch soon. I can’t say more now due to the confidentiality of the process but I will do so as soon as possible,” the 23-year-old wrote on Instagram.
The Chelsea striker, who cost around 108 million euros when he was bought by Shakhtar Donetsk nel 2023, he said he had never knowingly broken any rules. “I can confirm that I was informed that a sample I provided to the FA contained a banned substance,” he wrote Mudryk in a post on Instagram. “I know I haven’t done anything wrong and I continue to hope to be back on the field soon,” he added. The FA did not comment on the situation and Chelsea did not say whether he had been suspended. Mudryk played his last game with the Blues on December 1st.
