After the fall of Assad in Syria, will Russia retreat to Libya?

Will the fall of Bashar Al-Assad reconfigure the Russian military structure in the Mediterranean area with, according to some analysts, a possible withdrawal towards Libya? The international press is reporting this possible scenario, after the disappointment for Moscow of the fall of the Syrian leader and the possible loss of two Russian bases located on Syrian territory, the Hmeimim air base, in Latakia, and the naval base of Tartous.

Unusually high air activity was observed between Syria and Libya, reports Middle East Monitor. According to the pan-Arab site, which mainly contains information from the Reuters agency, a Russian cargo plane took off on December 14 from the Russian air base in the Syrian port city of Latakia towards Libya.
