Star Academy: Candice Vernet hurt by the racist messages she received

Candice, who had supported Djebril when he denounced the treatment the production had subjected him to, gave a long interview to the Youtube channel Popslay. The interpreter of Withered flowerswho rarely speaks in the media, this time addressed many topics during this candid interview, including cyberbullying. “When I left the castle, I prepared myself psychologically because I knew I couldn't please everyone. But it still hurts, it's a little violent at first. The haters, it's their truth, I don't care, I have mine. I think I know what I'm worth […] If there are people who don't like me, it doesn't matter“, she explained.

Then added: “Then there are specific situations which are more complicated for me to accept. When it's racism, misogyny, I don't understand. I don't want to talk about it, there's no point in stirring up this kind of thing because it's just stupid. But since I'm a bit utopian, I want to tell myself that humans are good. When I see things like that, I tell myself that it's not possible. It's incomprehensible“. A subject obviously very difficult to discuss for the young singer.
