Bad news on the eve of Monaco/PSG, Nuno Mendes was hit in the thigh against Lyon on Sunday evening and must remain in treatment. He is logically very uncertain for the match on Wednesday evening in the Principality.
The victory against OL (3-1) this Sunday evening left its mark on the Parisian squad and one of the players replaced during the match was actually injured. Replaced by Lucas Hernandez at the hour mark, Nuno Mendes was “hit in the right thigh” PSG announced in its traditional medical update before Monaco/PSG. On the goal conceded, we saw in particular the Portuguese being unable to run, because he had just received a crutch in the previous action.
Note that Nuno Mendes has not yet announced his package for Monaco/PSG, only that he “ will remain in care today”, but we must already think about a possible replacement. Having returned to the competition for only two matches after seven months of absence, Lucas Hernandez is possibly too tight to start this big match as a starter and it is therefore Lucas Beraldo who appears at this moment as the favorite to play if Mendes were to finally give up.
He is at this moment the only PSG player affected and uncertain for Monaco/PSG, the PSG infirmary having been emptied in recent weeks. Furthermore, no player is suspended for Wednesday evening’s game (9 p.m.).
