Nearly 2 tons of banknotes: Bashar al-Assad sent $250 million by plane to Russia before his exile

On December 8, Syrian rebels ousted the dictator Bachar al-Assad of power. Since then, tongues have been loosened and images of Syria as we have never seen it, flooding the media and social networks.

This Sunday, the Financial Times asks the question: did Bashar plan his move by going into exile in Russia? Several elements suggest this. Including one revealed by our colleagues: according to the FT, Bashar would have transferred large sums of money to Russian banks.
